CASE STUDY A: A Mining client with Australia based mine sites and expenditure of $2.2 Million pa

We put in place a travel booking solution that –

• • Maximised travel booking staff productivity through low touch in-house travel booking solution and one dedicated travel consultant to manage all executives travel via a single email request solution.
  • Automated travel booking processes, cost centres, project codes etc allocated automatically per individuals bookings, automatic identification of preferred rate/fare arrangements for each booking and travel policy adhered to 100% including fare tolerance of +/-$80 maximum as set by client.
  • Automated travel authorisation process for bookings that were within travel policy
  • Automated Ticket credit notification and usage to avoid human error
  • Streamlined and automated online travel authorisation process for all bookings requiring authorisation by line manager, no more paper trails.
  • Delivered a negotiated saving of approximately 69% across all regional WA flights required by the company.
  • Improved the productivity of all staff involved with travel bookings by 30%

Net result was a saving of $490k and client was able to consolidate site travel bookers from 5 to 2 team members and reallocate 3 team members to more mainstream roles.

CASE STUDY B: Mining client with International mine sites, expenditure of $2.5M most travel undertaken by executives from Australia and ex Mine sites to various countries – We put in place a travel booking solution that –

• • Maximised travel booking staff productivity for all EA’s and PA’s, complete bookings including air, hotel transfers and car hire generated via one single email request
  • Provided an automated VIP Quality Assurance system to double-check all details and ensure membership and tier status upgrades were requested and delivered for every VIP traveller. This ensured all VIP travellers journeys were never interrupted or caused issues.
  • Ensured clients travel policy was adhered for every trip via our travel booking technology
  • Managed the change of travel policy from Business to Economy class for middle management on trips of less than 8 hours duration via Synergy Travel’s PLUS+ fares which provide travellers with Airport Lounge access and private airport transfers when flying economy class.
  • Delivered a saving of approximately 30% ($750K) across their total travel expenditure via access to our discounted airfares, hotel rates, car hire rates, successful policy change from business to economy, and in depth knowledge of fare structures and split ticketing etc.

Net result was a saving of $750k, travelling employees have access to Airport Lounges while flying economy class, and senior executives have had no trip interruptions and are provided with room upgrades and added value amenities when travelling.

CASE STUDY C: Corporate client with International & domestic expenditure of $500K all travel undertaken by executives from Australia – We put in place a travel booking solution that –

• • Maximised travel booking productivity of PA’s by approx. 70%
  • Provided an experienced Personal Travel Assistant for all International & Domestic travel
  • Provided a ‘one stop shop’ for all travel requirements including booking air, hotels, apartments, car hire, transfers, passport and visa assistance and foreign currency in cash.
  • Provided an Executive Leisure service for all senior staff so that personal holidays and leisure could be booked while not having to leave their office at the very best rates available with access to unique and custom itineraries.
  • Delivered a saving of approximately 18% ($90K) across their total travel expenditure

Net result was a saving of $90k and freed up Executive PA’s time to pursue ‘core’ company activities.
