Our Director, Robert Caniglia, is the founder of the brand and is ‘hands on’ in the business on a daily basis. Robert prides himself on our team, our service delivery and ensuring our clients satisfaction is always the focus of everything we do!
Robert’s qualifications and Travel Industry experience extend to over 19 years in the travel industry in many varied management roles and listing many valued clients such as Newmount Mining, CBH Group, Programmed Group, Barminco and many others
History
Robert has extensive experience within the corporate travel industry via holding senior management roles at multiple Travel Management Companies (TMC’s) in Australia. His experience includes:
- Sales Manager – Corporate Traveller
- Regional Director of Sales WA, SA & NT – Flight Centre Corporate Brands (FCm Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, Flight Centre Business Travel)
- Business Analysis and Solutions Manager – Corporate Travel Management (CTM)
- General Manager – Corporate Travel Connections (CT Connections)
He has been responsible for over $60M in annual sales budget and received many awards for his achievements including multiple awards for top 3 National Business Development Managers, and leader of the Most Productive Team in Australia for 3 consecutive years.

Operations Manager
Joe Cicirello is our Operations Manager and injects over 27 years travel experience into the Synergy Travel business.
Joe has vast experience ranging from direct travel consulting experience in Leisure, Corporate, Groups and Sports Travel, to management experience in roles ranging from Team Leader to Director of a large travel group.
History
Joe’s extensive travel experience began by purchasing his own travel outlet in Perth CBD in 1992:
- Purchased his own travel agency in Perth.
- Joe grew the group with acquisition of 6 ex American Express agencies to take group total to 11 offices.
- Throughout this process Joe gained immense knowledge in every aspect of travel from consulting, to operations management, airline negotiations, staff management and motivation, to client satisfaction and retention.
- Joe was responsible for the large project of transitioning technology systems to one centralised system across the whole group of 11 offices while maintaining service levels and data integrity.
- Joe left the Jetset group and joined a major sports travel agency and gained experience in all aspects of successfully arranging travel for small to large groups.
- He joined a major national Travel Management Company (TMC) in the role of Corporate Team Leader.
- Over 27+ years in the travel industry, Joe’s strength has always been the exceptional level of service delivered to his clients.
Joe is our Operations manager and involved in our business every day. He ensures that our technology, systems and processes internally and externally are seamless, effective, and deliver value for our employees and clients alike.
